Welcoming a puppy into your life is a big decision, and hearing from families who’ve walked this path can bring so much clarity and comfort. Every Bluevale Meadows puppy grows up in our home, surrounded by intention, structure, and love — and these stories reflect that.

Over the years, certain themes have shown up again and again in the stories families share with us — thoughtful communication, intentional temperament matching, early foundations, and lifelong support. Every puppy is raised in our home with structure, gentleness, and genuine care, and we’re grateful that these values come through so clearly in the experiences below. Each family’s journey is unique, but the heart behind our program remains the same.

"Ringo"

“Ringo is now almost a year old and his love for my family — especially my son — is exactly what we needed.”

After many years of researching dogs for my autistic son, my mom found the Australian Labradoodle. We checked out a few different breeders then found Heather at BVM. She replied right away and was very thorough in answering all my questions and concerns. We discussed in length about what I need in a companion dog for my son and I explained to her what my son’s needs were. When Luella and Copper had a litter we were given the option based on temperament to choose the right one.

We had play by play of their newborn lives right up until we brought our sweet Ringo home. Now she as well as other ALD families get to watch them all grow. This breeder is absolutely amazing and loves ALL her babies. She treats them like family and not an income even after they have left her care. She is nurturing and her love for animals is admirable. Ringo is now almost a year old and his love for my family especially my son is exactly what we needed. Can’t thank her enough.

We lost our 2 Australian Labradoodles, from Alberta, in 2020. As a result, I began to search for this breed in Ontario. Well, I was very happy to find Bluevale Meadows Australian Labradoodles in Ontario. What I did not realize at the beginning of this journey, was the amazing experience I was about to enter. Simply put, Heather is an unbelievable breeder... compassionate and supportive with an incredible amount of experience. She provides much information and handouts before receiving your new furry friend. She sends emails and numerous videos and photos almost everyday as the puppy grows. With your new addition, her facebook litter page allows us to connect with one another to share invaluable information. Heather is always there to answer questions. I would whole heartedly encourage anyone who wants a wonderful pet raised in a loving home to contact her.

We’ve had 3 dogs from breeders, including our newest Australian Labradoodle Charlotte. Our experience with Heather and Bluevale Meadows has definitely been the best! Heather’s caring nature and home breeding environment definitely prepared our new puppy for joining her new family. This was a new breed to our family and Heather took the time to answer all of our questions and also provided an overview of the breed. From the time we were notified that we were expecting a new family member, we were very impressed with the level of communications and the updates from Heather on their progress. Before they went home, she had them started on potty training, grooming, crate and clicker training; it was truly amazing and made for a seamless transition. She’s the first breeder that we’ve worked with that has done that. Heather was/is very responsive to questions from the new pawrents. She kept us updated regularly with daily videos and weekly emails. Heather also has very keen insight on the puppies temperament and attitudes and did a great job with aligning the pups with their furever families.

Heather at Bluevale Meadows Australian Labradoodles (ALD) has been such a pleasure to deal with from the very beginning. An honest, open, personable and extremely knowledgeable breeder. My wife and I spent many months researching potential breeders and ultimately decided on Heather for all these reasons and more. She took the time to answer all our questions with thorough detail, but also ensured we were the right fit for an ALD. It gave us a great deal of comfort knowing how much Heather cares about the type of homes that her pups are being brought to. Throughout the entire process of "honeymooning", pregnancy, birth, growing up as pups, puppy pick up day and beyond, Heather was always available to answer questions. The weekly themed puppy photo shoots that Heather sent added a whole extra layer of excitement to an already exciting time. We never felt alone through raising Bauer as a pup and into adulthood and could lean on Heather as a great resource whenever we needed. As first time pup parents, Bauer brings joy to our life every single day and we are so thankful to have him in our lives.

We highly recommend Bluevale Meadows (Heather) as a breeder for our Australian Labradoodle, Zoey. When originally researching breeders, we were looking for someone with a strong social media presence, one with great reviews and someone that is knowledgeable, especially with helping us with our specific needs for our family situation when getting a puppy.
We were very fortunate to come across Bluevale Meadows on our search and are expectations have been exceeded.
Covid added a new level of issues when it came to getting our pup. Home visits/picks were cancelled due to lockdown rules but Heather posted live videos almost daily on all the pups, as well as, emails weekly with beautiful pictures of them with descriptions of their sizes, personalities and health. We had a one on one Zoom meeting to meet the pups and make our pick for which one we would welcome into our home, obviously not ideal but covid has made everyone adjust to the circumstances. She worked with us to pick a pup that would best fit our family, being very honest about each pups temperament and any concerns she may have with a pup joining a home with a child with special needs and we couldn't be happier with our Zoey girl.
Heather works with the pups from day one and it shows. Zoey was house broken within a couple days, she is full of energy but loves downtime and snuggles and she has a great temperament when it comes to grooming and introductions to new things. After coming home, Heather has been available for any questions or concerns and it's been great having that with being a new puppy owner. We have only good things to say about our experience with Heather from Bluevale Meadows.

"Hudson"

“If you're looking for a caring smaller breeder… ask Heather if she has a spot available and cross your fingers.”

I ordered an Australian Labradoodle from Heather at Bluevale Meadows and based on my experience I strongly recommend them to anyone considering this breed. Heather is a small breeder who raises her dogs and pups in a caring home. Her communication from start through to after I took Hudson home has been great. She communicated regularly along every step of the way - I loved the almost daily videos she posted of the pups after birth and the process she had for selection/matching (she provides good personality summaries on each pup and helps guide the future parents to which one matches well).
After going home she checked in and provided helpful guidance (I was having trouble getting my pup to sleep in a crate and after 3 nights Heather suggested using a fenced in dog bed - went from sleepless nights to restful sleep instantly).
The other thing I loved is the pups are at least partially potty trained (from when their eyes open she uses a litter box to train them there is a specific place to go and then transitions them to outdoors a few weeks before they go home) and have had some clicker training. Hudson has been easy to train on these fronts.
If you're looking for a caring smaller breeder who has quality genetically tested breeder dogs and can coach you through the process, ask Heather if she has a spot available and cross your fingers.

All her puppies are raised in her home and have come with the proper health testing and guarentees. She was very easy to communicate with, and answered our many questions throughout the adoption process. "Aggie"

Agnes is my beloved Bluevale Meadows puppy and the first puppy born to Lily and Vincenzo. I have had her now for five months and she has been an amazing addition to our family. Agnes is so incredibly smart and such a goof ball. She has the sweetest disposition and gives some of the best doggy snuggles. I would recommend this breed to anyone looking to add a four-legged companion to their family.
Bluevale Meadows Australian Labradoodles (Heather) was easy to work with and she answered all of my questions regarding the breed. She let me into her home and introduced me to Lily and allowed me to meet her little bundles of joy. Lily was a trooper and allowed me to handle her little ones, of course under mommy supervision. I was very impressed with how she handled it and she was a very devoted mama. I was also impressed with the overall treatment and care of Lily and her puppies. They were raised in a very clean and safe environment.
Heather did a fantastic job with the pups. Exposing them to as much of the environment as was safe to do so. I was super impressed with the puppy litter training and I’ve never had such an easy time potty-training my puppy. Agnes was a breeze. I got weekly updates, as Agnes grew, on her development, what she had accomplished that week, even pictures and videos to see all the mischief her and her siblings were getting into. And it still continues today! Some of the owners of Agnes’ siblings have stayed connected and we’ve all shared photos of our dogs and it has been an absolute pleasure seeing them all grow up.
I highly recommend Bluevale Meadows. The Australian Labradoodle is such an amazing happy-go-lucky breed. A fantastic family dog that will snuggle with you on the couch, or go out adventuring with you. Agnes has already been out to Halifax, camping and enjoying the great outdoors. I could go on and on, but you will just have to find out for yourself!
Thank you Heather, I could not imagine my life without my Aggie! She is an absolute joy! If I ever decide to add to my doggy family I would not hesitate, I would get another Australian Labradoodle in a heartbeat.

"Charlie"

I could not be happier with my experience at Bluevale Meadows! This is my first puppy. Heather was so nice and responsive and very helpful with all my crazy questions! I loved that she was raising the puppies in her home! I was able to visit Charlie and see everything. Now as for Charlie...he is the best dog ever! He is really the sweetest boy! He loves everyone and all dogs. People compliment him all the time- how good looking he is, how great he is with other dogs, how friendly he is- people have actually pulled over cars and asked me where I got him when we are out walking. He is very smart! Which can be both a good and bad thing (haha). We have done school and he picks up on things very quickly. He really wants to please. He is also incredibly affectionate! I would definitely recommend Heather and Bluevale Meadows to anyone looking for a pup!

I got my baby Lucy here, she is the healthiest and most friendly puppy. She is so happy all the time, everyone at dog park loves her(even more than their own dogs!).
